Touch of Love is dedicated to sustainable giving. We are convinced that that each dollar, each prayer, each effort can be multiplied exponentially and should not just disappear into a bottomless pool of need. By encouraging the idea of personal responsibility through micro-loans and education ("instead of giving a man a fish, teach him how to fish"), each person that is helped becomes a conduit for more to be affected.
Touch of Love was established in May of 2001 as a not for profit organization. As we explored and researched the needs of the poor in third world countries (with a focus on the middle-east), micro-lending with vocational training and education appeared as the best means of creating stability and sustainability for individuals and families.
We begin in each village by partnering with an already existing non-profit community organization. This allows us to tap into the needs of each particular village with an insight that would normally take extensive time and research. By using the already experienced staff of these small community organizations this also creates accountability with those seeking a small loan. Using this model of provision we have been able to assist in the complete sustainability of two entire villages to date. With approximately

390 small revolving loan projects funded directly by Touch of Love, these villages are now able to fund new loans by reinvesting the loan re-payment funds and continue to grow without further outside investments. This means that each donation to Touch of Love continues to multiply on it's own!
At least 35 new loans each month are being funded by the successful profits of the initial 390 loans. There are now well over 475 loans with no further outside funding! Soon, not only will these profits continue to create new loans within these villages, but will extend to the creation of brand new projects in other nearby villages. We are thrilled to announce that our third project in the slums of Cairo is now well on it's way to becoming self- sustaining with 132 projects already funded. We need your help to invest in the numerous projects that are on a waiting list.
